Is there a (free) wordpress plugin that you would recommend for newsletters? I’m trying to be creative and avoid the cost of a paid service.

There’s a couple that are quite good depending on what you actually want the plug in to do.
The first is at http://www.wp-newsletter.com/
The other is at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/newsletter/
The best thing to do would be to google ‘newsletter plug in for wordpress’ and see what’s out there if you haven’t already done so
