The 7 Negative Emotions You Should Stay Away From
ByThere are 7 negative emotions that we should stay away from.
These are:-
- Fear
- Jealousy
- Hatred
- Revenge
- Greed
- Superstition and Anger
Just have a think on how destructive they can be and why you need them out of your life.
In his book ‘As A Man Thinketh’, James Allen said that ‘fear can kill you faster than a speeding bullet’.
He’s right if you think about it. Fear can put the body into a terrible vibration. It’s feat that causes the body to break down. Fear is the preamble to anxiety.
People all over the place are scampering to their doctor for valium or prozac to combat their ANXIETY. What they should be dealing with is the cause of the anxiety which is FEAR which itself is an emotional state caused by doubt or worry.
I know it’s cliche but you get rid of fear by facing it. The only thing that you can control is your attitude. Your attitude is the compostion of your thoughts, your feelings and your actions. So make up your mind that you are absolutely going to eliminate fear from your life. You’ll still have it come into your mind but you have the power within yourself to kick it to boot.
The second negative emotion is Jealousy. This has ruined more relationships,it’s screwed up more professions or opportunities than possibly any other emotion.
In his course Six Minutes To Success, Bob Proctor suggests that jealousy is ‘being afraid of losing something that you don’t have’.
I used to be jealous when I was younger usually down to insecurity. But now through positive thoughts and actions plus analyzing the cause of the problems, that has been gone for years.
So may I suggest if you have this problem that you sit down and eliminate it from your life or if you know someone who has it, just tell them that it’s because they’re afraid of losing something they don’t have.
The third negative emotion Hatred is probably one of the most destructive emotions a person can get involved with. Think about all the persecutions, wars, murders, beatings that this has caused. Bob Proctor suggests that it is caused by ignorance. A lot of people think that hatred is the opposite to love. This isn’t neccessarily true. The opposite to love is indifference.
When you think about it how much negative emotion and vibration are you piling upon yourself when you say or think ‘I hate you’ or ‘I hate him/her’ or ‘I hate doing that or being in this situation’. Even the word itself is pretty draining. And if you’re constantly thinking this you are sinking under this huge pile of negativity which if not dealt with, will leave you a bitter, probably lonely person. Also if you send that kind of energy out into the universe, what is going to be sent back?…..Exactly the same thing.
If you know about the Law of Attraction, then you’ll know that the universe doesn’t recognize good or bad, big or small, it just sends back ‘like’ energy.
So if you find yourself hating someone or something, change it around – get yourself into a positive mood and vibration. Say to yourself ‘I love…… over and over and feel it. It may take sometime depending on how deep rooted the hate is, but I can guarantee if you try feeling the love everyday then you will overcome it and be a much better person emotionally.
The fourth negative emotion is Revenge or ‘getting even’ or getting your own back on someone’. Let me ask you what is the point?
Yes you might feel a brief moment of satisfaction, but what about the ongoing results? - Tit for Tat until the consequence could be fatal or the ability to live with the fact that you’ve ruined someone else’s life either directly or indirectly as a result of what you’ve done.
If someone does something to you – let it go. Don’t get even with anyone!
If people are putting out bad things towards you, you don’t have to accept them or get emotionally involved with them. Ignorance is the cause of their problem. They’re putting themselves in the negative vibration and for you to play the same game is silly. You DON’T have to get even with them. The law of the the universe will square it with them because if that’s what they’re sending out, then that is what the universe will send back to them at some point especially if revenge is on their mind every waking moment.
So again hold positive thoughts even loving thoughts about the person or people you have the grievance with. If you can do this every day, then it will become second nature to you and you will feel the positive results.
In my next post I’ll finish off about negative emotions.
